Nightingale Award Runner-Up (2008)
Sue Kokko, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Dept. of Education, Troy, was recognized for her ability to synthesize and integrate evidence-based research findings into her own practice. She has been involved in several research projects, including tubing misconnections.

Innovations in Health Care Award (2008)
The National Kidney Foundation of Michigan and its partners offer three awards for innovative treatment or prevention programs. The BCC was one of the twelve applicant organizations invited to present their "Misconnections Prevention Toolkit" at the Lansing Champion of Hope Tribute Dinner in April 2008.

Top 25 Innovators Award from Health Imaging & IT (2006)
Kimberly A. Bonzheim, Director, Noninvasive Cardiology and Cardiac Rehabilitation, along with the Beaumont team, improved the safety of patients monitored by centralized telemetry by reducing critical response times from 9.5 minutes to 39 seconds.

Automation Alley's "Nonprofit of the Year" Award (2005)
Beaumont Hospitals were named "Nonprofit of the Year" by Automation Alley. This award recognizes unsurpassed dedication to the growth of southeast Michigan as a world-class, technological hub.

Beaumont Hospital-Royal Oak was the only Michigan hospital granted the coveted "Magnet" designation. Magnet status is the highest recognition a nursing organization can achieve. Less than 1% of America's 6,000 hospitals have achieved this status.

The Oakland University/Beaumont Graduate Program of Nurse Anesthesia was ranked sixth in the nation.

U.S. Department of Health & Human Services’ Program Development Grant
The Oakland University/Beaumont Graduate Program of Nurse Anesthesia is the only nurse anesthesia program in the United States to receive a $300,000 program development grant.

American Hospital Association "Quest for Quality" (2003)
Beaumont Hospitals were honored with the "Quest for Quality" award for leadership and innovation in quality and patient safety. Beaumont was one of four hospitals in the country to receive this prize.
